Washington Savoyards produces professional musical theatre in residence at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in the heart of DC's H Street Corridor. Founded in 1972, Washington Savoyards spent its early years in Montgomery County, and enjoyed many seasons at the Duke Ellington Theatre in Georgetown performing the works of Gilbert & Sullivan. Now in residence at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, we are dedicated to bringing professional Musical Theatre to the Washington community.

Washington Savoyards has a long history of employing local Washington artists. The directors, designers, and performers who work on our stages are professionals from DC's thriving theatre community. Recent members of Savoyards creative teams include Michael J. Bobbitt, Pauline Grossman, Michael Baron, Matthew Gardiner and countless others.

Many young performers have begun their careers with the Savoyards and landed on DC's leading stages…and Broadway! As a 501(3)c non-profit we strive to make our programs accessible to all and are grateful for the support of our donors. Washington Savoyards also acknowledges the Nora Roberts Foundation, the Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation for their continued support of the organization and its efforts to strengthen and enhance our community.
