Check in is at the National Building Museum admission desk. |  Dead Man's Run Join the annual Dead Man's Run 5K race on Saturday, October 6, at 6 pm. Historic Congressional Cemetery hosts the annual event, a bare bones race for dead serious runners. The race starts with a toll of the funeral bell, continues throughout the cemetery and onto the Anacostia Trail for a ghostly evening full of spooky music and fun! Run alone or form a team to compete with friends; register here. |  Rhode Island Avenue Main Street Fall Fest The Rhode Island Avenue Main Street Fall Fest showcases the beautiful tree-lined commercial district where Woodbridge, Brookland and Brentwood neighborhoods intersect, and attracts thousands of visitors for a day of shopping, food, and entertainment. Fall Fest brings together businesses, vendors, performers, and neighbors in a celebratory day full of fun for the whole family. The festival is this Saturday, October 6 and begins at 10:00 am and continues until 4 pm. |  Jose Gurvich Artworks Exhibition The Uruguayan Embassy presents the first solo show of artist Jose Gurvich in the embassy's art space. Gurvich grew up in Montevideo and is one of Uruguay's most well-known artists and a figure in the country's Constructivism Art movement. The exhibit features 160 works on paper and several oil paintings that show many facets of Gurvich's work. The embassy's exhibit hours are from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
