WPOW 13th Annual Juried Show

The WPOW 13th Annual Juried Show features standout photography and multimedia by members of the Women Photojournalists of Washington (WPOW) from the past year. Images taken by more than 20 women are part of this exhibit, including three cited as Best in Show. WPOW was founded to educate and promote the professional accomplishments of female photographers, photo editors, and multimedia producers in the DC area. See this showcase at IA&A at Hillyer through December 15.

With the fourth Thursday of the November on the latest date possible, are you ready for the shortest, most compact holiday shopping season? Start your shopping engines and remember, it's great to support neighborhood retailers on Small Business Saturday (November 30.) Museum and theater gift shops are wonderful places to delve into creative gift-giving and nothing beats a visit to a full-blown department store or shopping mall to get in the holiday spirit. Shopping is lots more fun when you do it with someone but if you're on your own, check out our Affiliates' digital shopping mall from the comfort of your desktop computer, share your gift with a favorite nonprofit (like us) through Smile.Amazon.com, and remember someone with a tribute gift during #GivingTuesday (December 3).

Embassy of Bahrain

The Kingdom of Bahrain has a constitutional monarchy and a government that has close relations with the United States. Represented in Washington by H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and his staff, the Kingdom located its embassy in upper northwest along International Drive. The embassy is a popular destination during Around the World Embassy Tour and a favorite booth at Winternational, where visitors learn about the nation's cuisine, culture, history and modern-day reforms now shaping the country.
