Preview of Passport DC at the ANA stage on the Tidal Basin

On Friday, April 5, enjoy a showcase of international talent provided by several embassies on the ANA Stage at the Tidal Basin. This preview of Cultural Tourism DC's Passport DC/Around the World Embassy programs is part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival and offers guests the chance to begin the tour of the world early! The stage is located near the Tidal Basin Welcome Area, where you also may find first aid, food, souvenirs, books, and more.

The 12th annual Passport DC is this May 1-31 in Washington, DC! Join thousands of participants at this festival spotlighting 'International Cultural Awareness Month' and offering a vast array of cultural activities at embassies, street festivals and performing arts organizations throughout DC.
Volunteer opportunities are available for Passport DC and/or Around the World Embassy Tour.

The Embassy of Cameroon

The Embassy of Cameroon promotes friendly relations and trade with the U.S. It also works closely with Cameroonians living in the U.S. to share information and opportunities from their home country. The Embassy of Cameroon participated in the April 2 Embassy Chef Challenge and will also welcome visitors to learn about the country during the May 4 Around the World Embassy Tour 2019.

The Choral Arts Society of Washington: Into the Light

Explore a world of immersive soundscapes and projections featuring resonance and sound-painting that will envelop the audience. Get tickets for this concert on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6. The music program makes use of the acoustics of the Dupont Underground with Steve Reich's Different Trains, a choral and double string quartet arrangement of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, and a new piece by Artistic Director Scott Tucker specifically composed for the acoustics of the venue. 
 


The Calidore String Quartet

The Calidore String Quartet and pianist Juho Pohjonen make their Wolf Trap debuts in an afternoon program of masterworks on Sunday, April 7. The program includes works by Haydn, Mozart, and the Beethoven Trio in G Major, Op. 1 No. 2. Meet the artists at a dessert reception following the performance. Get tickets for this show here.
 


Miniatures Music from Anatolia

Yunus Emre Institute is excited to host the first concert by the Turkish American Arts Society of New York (TAASNY) "The Soloists of New Manhattan Sinfonietta." This concert will include musical works by national leading composers from Anatolia and famous Turkish Classical pioneer's music. Enjoy musical highlights and Turkish Tangos at this free event on Wednesday, April 10.
