Celebrated annually in May, which is International Cultural Awareness Month in Washington, Passport DC is 31 days of programming by embassies and some of DC's very best cultural institutions. Thousands of people enjoy the popular embassy open houses, street festivals, performances, exhibitions, workshops, and more. Smithsonian Women's Committee
The Smithsonian Women's Commitee was founded in 1996 and is dedicated to advancing the Smithsonian's mission to increase and diffuse knowledge. This Committee celebrates crafts through the Smithsonian Craft Show and Craft2Wear. The funds raised at these shows allows the committee to award grants and endowments throughout the Smithsonian.
