Art All Night
DC's free, deep-into-the-night arts festival is back in-person on September 24 and 25, from 7 pm to 3 am!
The festival is presented by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and in partnership with participating retail and business improvement districts, including Tenleytown Main Street, Van Ness Main Street, Downtown DC BID, Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets, Shaw Main Streets, and others. Enjoy visual and performing arts, including painting, photography, sculpture, crafts, fashion, music, dance, theater, film, and poetry.

DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID)
Founded in 1997 as private non-profit organization, DowntownDC provides capital improvements, resources and research that keep the BID area clean, safe, economically and environmentally strong, and accessible. Visit the new and improved Franklin Park, DowntownDC's largest green space, on September 25 for its opening block party!

Postponed: Passport DC in the Garden

The beauty of Passport DC's Around the World Embassy Tour is the allure of visiting foreign embassies in Washington, meeting diplomats, and learning about places far, far away without scrutiny at the entrance. One simply goes through the gate and gains entry. It is an amazing, joyful, shared experience that leaves an indelible impression, especially on young people. The most recent Around the World Embassy Tour took place on May 4, 2019. When COVID-19 subsided earlier this year, quickly we decided, let's do an autumn Around the World Embassy Tour-like event that we can hold totally outdoors.

We created Passport DC in the Garden to serve as a bridge to May 2022 when we can host a full-fledged event. Sadly, over the past several weeks COVID-19 and its virulent delta variant crashed our attempt at normal programming. With young people effected by the virus and older people needing a booster shot of vaccine, clearly the virus isn't beaten yet. We don't want anyone to contract COVID-19 at one of our events. Our assessment determined that the only way to safely offer the event would require us to introduce restrictions, distancing, and barriers to participation that are the antitheses of what Around the World Embassy Tour represents. And so, we decided to postpone the October 16 event to another time when we can safely offer it. Thank you for your understanding.
