National Cherry Blossom Festival
On March 20, at 6:00 pm, join the Festival's Opening Ceremony, an artistic celebration of the 1912 gift of cherry trees from Tokyo to Washington, DC, and an annual tribute to the longstanding friendship between Japan and the United States. DAR Museum

The DAR, founded in 1890, is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education.
On March 20, learn what was it like for women during the 1800s who fought for rights equal to men. Get a peek into their lives through objects in the museum collection while you chat with your friends in this interactive virtual event!
