More is More: Multiples

Multiples, three-dimensional art objects produced in a series of identical editions, find their way from the shelves of retail stores into museum collections and the homes of consumers worldwide. This exhibition presents dinner plates, mirrors, toys and more as it highlights the medium's sense of whimsy. See this exhibit on display at the National Museum of Women in the Arts through September 22. Enjoy gallery lunchtime gallery talks offered on most Wednesdays.

Starting from the Island: Contemporary Art From Taiwan

Starting from the Island is an exhibit by four artists from Taiwan who connect their life experiences and environmental observations. The artists compare and contrast local with global, and cities with mountains. Their work sparks discussions that stretch from where they live to phenomena in the society and in the world. Their artwork is a conversation with their external environment and the viewers through their art creation. See this exhibit at the IA&A at Hillyer through September 29.
