 | |  College Park Aviation Museum The College Park Aviation Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting aviation innovations at College Park Airport, and in Prince George's County, while fostering research, inventiveness, and lifelong curiosity about the history and science of flight. The museum is a 27,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located on the grounds of the world's oldest continuously operating airport. The airport was founded in 1909 when Wilbur Wright arrived to train the first military aviators. The Museum is open daily from 10 am until 5 pm, except for major holidays. | |  |  Groundhog Day This Friday, February 2, Potomac Phil, the National Groundhog, will make an appearance by the Dupont Circle fountain and offer weather and political predictions. Phil will let us know whether to expect six more weeks of winter or an early spring. Groundhog Day will also feature live accordion music, polka dancers, a puppet show, VIP celebrities and more. Potomac Phil will emerge at approximately 8:30 am. |  Ladysmith Black Mambazo For over 50 years, South Africa's four-time Grammy Award-winning group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo has warmed the hearts of audiences worldwide with their uplifting vocal harmonies, signature dance moves, and charming onstage banter. In their fall 2017 release Songs Of Peace & Love For Kids & Parents, the group shares its message with audiences of all ages through music and the stories behind the songs. Get tickets for the concerts at The Barns at Wolf Trap on Monday, February 5 and Tuesday, February 6 at 8 pm. |  Washington Dollar Days In honor of George Washington's birthday month, Tudor Place is offering $1 tours throughout February. As DC's only historic house museum with connections to Martha and George Washington, the property houses 15,000 items in its Washington Collection. During the tour, you may see one of only three existing letters from George to Martha Washington, among many other artifacts. This February, see it all for one Washington dollar!
