According to the owner of Metro Liquors, neighborhood teens asked permission to paint this lively vignette adjacent to the neighborhood laundromat two years ago. With no commission, no formal training, and no oversight from community groups, these free spirits created their own multicultural tribute to daily life in Adams-Morgan.
