International DC

Washington, DC is home to more embassies than any other city in the world. If you add in the cultural centers and international organizations such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, you have a truly wide-ranging mix of international culture, art, music, dance and cuisine.

Welcome to International DC! The events and attractions listed here will take you to new and different places. Visit an embassy for an art exhibit during the day, and then attend a musical performance at another embassy that night. Check out a foreign film festival at an international cultural center or visit Meridian International Center for a rousing panel discussion.

Each year, thousands of residents and visitors participate in Passport DC, but Washington offers exciting international events and activities throughout the entire year.
