Possessing a "dark, brooding intensity", Russian-American violinist Yevgeny Kutik has, at age twenty-four, become a sought-after artist on the concert stage worldwide. In his recent German debut with the WDR Radio Symphony Orchestra, Yevgeny "enraptured the crowd" (DerWesten) with his performance. Of his New York City orchestral debut with the Riverside Symphony, The New York Times said his violin projected "an old-fashioned rhapsodic style, which was magnified by (his) rich, sweet tone." Yevgeny’s other recent performances have included highly successful appearances with the Tokyo Vivaldi Ensemble in Japan, the world- premiere performance of the concerto Versus by Ron Ford with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, which received praise from both The New York Times and The Boston Globe, and a return appearance with the Boston Pops Orchestra and Keith Lockhart. As a recitalist, he most recently appeared at the Verbier (Switzerland) and Oberstdorfer (Germany) festivals and made his debut on the prominent Dame Myra Hess Series in Chicago. He has also appeared in recital in San Francisco, Washington D.C., Miami, Tokyo, Munich and Montreal.  Program: Szymanowski, Penderecki, Chopin, Bloch$80/ including Polish buffet /dinner/wine

Testimonials

This tour delivers the goods.  Being raised just outside of washington d.c. (Bethesda), I've gone on innumerable DC sightseeing tours in my lifetime.   Every time a family friend or relative visited from out of town meant another trip down to the Mall, another sightseeing tour.  Monument tours, ghost tours, "Duck" tours, you name it I've done it.  But out of all the DC tours I've been on this was one of the best.  I went last weekend with my nieces and nephews on the Capitol Hill tour, which lasted a little over two hours.  The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of the historic sites and presented the information in a fun and lively manner.  His enthusiam for the subject was infectious.  He had my nieces and nephews in rapt atttention from start to finish.  Highly recommend.
