Ann Marie Moeller and Jeff Krauss will discuss the animals, gods, legendary figures, and auspicious symbols found on Japanese e-gasuri or "picture ikat." They will also address the labor-intensive process of creating these designs on kasuri, a type of ikat cloth, usually made of cotton, hemp, or ramie and dyed with indigo. Free; no reservations required.
