July 24, 2010 - 2:00pm - 2:30pm

Fort Reno commanded a strategic view across northwest Washington, D.C. and toward the Potomac River.  From this vantage point in July of 1864, Union soldiers spotted the Confederates approach.  Meet at the corner of 40th & Chesapeake streets NW to hear how the story unfolds and to learn more about the Civil War history in your backyard. Remember to bring water and wear comfortable shoes and sun protection.
