Music: An Evening of Music and Verse - Featuring members of The Roots and Mambo Sauce

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. An American Playlist. Young poets and MCs from across the country join forces with D.C. go-go favorites Mambo Sauce and Grammy Award–winning recording artists Black Thought and ?uestlove of The Roots. The performance is directed by Universes' Steven Sapp and the Hip Hop Theater Festival's Kamilah Forbes, and produced in partnership with Clyde Valentine of the Hip Hop Theater Festival.
*Free, tickets required. Tickets for this performance will be distributed Saturday, July 10, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Hall of States (line forms to right of entrance).
