Join the National Park Service, the National Council of Negro
Women, Inc., and the National Children’s Museum to honor
the life of Dorothy Irene Height and commemorate the 135th
anniversary of the birth of Mary McLeod Bethune.
Featuring family fun activities, food, music, films, remarks from
dignitaries, and a wreath-laying ceremony.

PROGRAM
10:00 am: Opening Ceremony honoring the life of Dorothy
Irene Height.
11:30 am: Family fun, food, games, Ranger-led talks, music,
films, and activities until 1:00 pm.
1:00 pm: Closing Ceremony commemorating the 135th
anniversary of the birth of Mary McLeod Bethune.
