Join the National Museum of Health and Medicine for a meet and greet with the stars of Paws for Purple Hearts! Paws for Purple Hearts, a program of Bergin University of Canine Studies, in collaboration with the Warrior Transition Brigade at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, has developed an innovative initiative that combines therapeutic and vocational elements to aid Wounded Warriors with post traumatic stress symptoms. This meet and greet will feature the dogs and their trainers, as well as a special demonstration.
The National Museum of Health and Medicine is located in Building 54 on the campus of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Limited visitor parking is available in the driveway in front of the museum. Additional free parking is available throughout the campus on weekends. Adults are required to present photo ID to gain entry to Walter Reed.
