In the spirit of the countrywide public musical celebrations that seep through France every summer, the Alliance Française will host DC's fifth annual Fête de la Musique on June 22 from 6-11pm. The merriment starts out with mellow notes from Austin Ellis and Jill Warren to ease away from the work week and will rise to a weekend ready crescendo on the house and electro beats from DJ Basscamp and Beat Refinery's Obeyah and DJ Ragz.
Performances will take place at Georgetown's soon-to-open Malmaison, owned by the operators of Napoleon Bistro and Café Bonaparte. This untapped, rough around the eges stage, mingled with the artistic atmosphere will provide a unique arena for local musical talent to show off their skills and bring everyone together on the musical side of summer.
Bands or individuals interested in performing may still register by contacting marine.cornuet@francedc.org with names, band bio, and musical samples.

H Street NE will be enhanced immeasurably by the addition of its guiding signposts of the past and point us towards the future."
