This summer, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design will launch a series of cultural and educational programs inspired by the exhibition Chuck Close Prints: Process and Collaboration, the first-ever survey to examine the artist’s extensive and groundbreaking work in the field of printmaking, opening at the Corcoran on July 3. Programs include family workshops, lectures, and film screenings, each designed to highlight Close’s role in advancing the art of printmaking through innovation and technique. A number of free programs are included as part of the Corcoran’s FREE Summer Saturdays promotion Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, when admission to the museum’s permanent collection and temporary exhibitions is free.
