The traditional arts in the vast Congo Basin in Central Africa show an astonishing diversity in shapes, materials, and types. Constantine Petridis, Curator of African Art at The Cleveland Museum of Art, will showcase the artistic creativity from cultures across the region, and also demonstrate the traditional arts typically combine political and religious dimensions. Fee (includes refreshments): $20/members; $25/non-members. Advance registration required; space is limited.
