Mark your calendar for the first Sunday in December—a Logan Circle tradition! The annual Logan Circle Holiday House Tour is scheduled for Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 1 to 5 p.m. Plan to join us for a tour of traditional and contemporary homes in our neighborhood and wrap up the day with our Wassail Reception from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
As always, proceeds from the tour help fund the Logan Circle Community Association’s ongoing mission to improve the quality of life for residents and businesses in Logan Circle and all of Washington, DC. Ticket prices are unchanged this year, at $25 in advance and $30 on tour day. Reserve your tickets now at http://logancircle2012.eventbrite.com/. CCA Needs Your Support!
The Holiday House Tour is LCCA’s signature annual event and our only fundraiser. Please show your support today by becoming a patron or benefactor. Your generous donation will help us continue our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life in the Logan Circle neighborhood for residents, businesses, and visitors.
We’re often asked what we do with membership dues and donations. Here are a few examples of what they cover:
- Support to local non-profits (beneficiaries include the Constance Whitaker Maffin Memorial Fund and N Street Village)
- Community development grants, such as our major tree box initiative
- Administrative fees, such as accounting, Web services, and insurance
- Costs of holding membership meetings and special events
- And while we’re largely electronic in our communications, we do have printing and duplicating expenses
We’re proud that LCCA is a 100 percent volunteer-run organization and are grateful for the thousands of hours logged by our volunteers every year. We make every effort to keep costs to a minimum, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
