The U.S. FreedomWalk Festival® is a world-class, non-competitive nonprofit, international walking festival co-hosted by Arlington County with the Office of the Surgeon General of the U.S. and a guest embassy.
Its mission is to promote walking as a fitness activity and to promote international understanding and friendships while showcasing the United States by walking through the monuments, memorials, and parks of Arlington and Washington, DC.
The organization has the sanction of the International Walking Association, which will bring walkers from all over the U.S. and from 22 countries every year to walk Arlington County and the District.
