Gather with the lunch crowd under towering masts and waving flags in an open park-like memorial to the U. S. Navy and naval officers. Walk across the plaza on a 100-foot granite map of the world. Meet Stanley Bleifeld's "Lone Sailor," one of the most photographed statues in America. Conklin Rossart's design for this amphitheater at Market Square includes fountains, waterfalls, and sculptured walls dedicated to the U. S. Navy and foreign navies.

Visit the adjacent Naval Heritage Center for exhibits and interactive video displays on naval history. Browse the U.S. Navy Log, a registry of Navy men and women, past and present, featuring almost one-quarter million veterans.
