The specific purpose of Social Art and Culture is to encourage design that affects social change. SAAC "Art Activists" will use the power of the performing, visual, music and literary arts to address AIDS, education, housing, health and the environment within disadvantaged communities. The specific objectives shall be: 1) Art is an integral part of change in social causes. 2) DC will consist of a socially responsible artisans collective who collaborate and participate in educational based art programs designed to reach neglected communities throughout the District of Columbia.
