Australia in the United States - Washington, DC

Australia is a stable, culturally diverse, and democratic society, and the only nation to govern an entire continent. The country’s multicultural society includes its indigenous peoples and migrants from some 200 countries.

Australia has long been a close friend and security ally of the U.S. The alliance is one of great depth and strength supported by a shared spirit and attitude. Kim Beazley was appointed as Ambassador of Australia to the U.S. in February 2010.

Australia's embassy in DC is proud to host a wide variety of cultural events related to the arts "Down Under," including films, concerts, lectures, and exhibitions.
