About Us

Diverse Markets Management (DMM), LLC is a DC-based firm specializing in the development and management of outdoor public exhibitor markets. Principals in the firm are experienced leaders in specialty vending and in managing relations with this unique group of small business entrepreneurs. Members of the DMM team have an experienced and successful history of working together on markets, especially at historic Eastern Market. Key attributes of the team include the manager of The Flea Market at Eastern Market (FMEM), decades of business activity as exhibitors and managers, as well as long working relationships with other stakeholders of the Market. Because our team has actual investments and livelihoods based on vending and deep roots in the city, we have a particularly personal commitment to a market's success. We are strongly dedicated to developing and maintaining a financially sustainable market while enhancing the ongoing integration of a market into the community.

DC Antique Photo Show

WASHINGTON, DC - Vintage images from the Civil War and of the Washington region will be among 1000s of historic photographs for sale at the 28th annual D.C. Antique Photo Show, 11 AM to 4 PM, Sunday, March 13 at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn, 1900 N. Ft. Myer Dr., Arlington, VA 22209.

Probably the longest running photo image show in the country, experts from a dozen states will offer a full range of antique photo imagery, including Daguerreotypes, CDVs, stereoviews, lantern slides, tintypes, postcards, albums, movie stills, press photos and more. Among the exhibitors will be several authors of photographic reference books.

Participating in the program will be members of The Daguerreain Society, National Stereoscopic Association, Photo Historical Societies of Canada and New England; and Magic Lantern Societies, both US and UK, said Tom Rall, show manager for Diverse Markets Management (DMM), a DC firm in its third year managing the show. Exhibitors will also offer free appraisals throughout the day.

"This is a unique, once-a-year opportunity to see and purchase actual pieces of the world's photographic history," Rall exclaimed. "Unlike in museums, show attendees can actually hold and carefully examine most of the images, often shoulder-to-shoulder with curators shopping for national collections.

"A Civil War theme will be highlighted" in conjunction with the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the war's outset being promoted by Cultural Tourism DC of which DMM is a member.

The DC Antique Photo Show opens with a 9:30 AM $25 preview admission and continues 11 AM to 4 PM with a $10 public admission. The hotel is walking distance from Georgetown and only one block from the Rosslyn station on Metro's orange and blue lines.
