Sunday, September 30, 1:00 - 3:00 pm: From the Freer|Sackler to the SW Waterfront

Visit the Freer Gallery of Art’s exhibition Whistler’s Neighborhood: Impressions of a Changing London and learn how city modernization affected social changes in nineteenth-century London. After the tour, walk down to DC’s south west waterfront to see a similar transformation of a modern neighborhood in flux.

Presented by Cultural Tourism DC member organization Smithsonian Institution Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and led by Freer Gallery of Art's Lee Glazer and Maya Foo and Cultural Tourism DC's Maggie Downing.

Meet in the north lobby at the Freer Gallery of Art on the National Mall, 1200 Jefferson Dr., SW. End at Waterfront Metro station.
