The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars [2] is the official memorial to our nation’s 28th president. More than just a collection of marble pillars, the Center is “a living memorial,” a nonpartisan gathering place for scholars from around the world who conduct and publish research that informs the nation’s public policy debates.
In the spirit of President Wilson, the only U.S. president to have earned a Ph.D., we build a bridge between the worlds of academia and public policy, to inform and develop solutions to the nation’s problems and challenges. Democracy is built on the notion of an informed and active citizenry. The Wilson Center provides the fuel that makes this possible.

- Come to one of our public meetings [3]! The Wilson Center hosts hundreds of events on policy-relevant regional and topical issues throughout the year.
- Visit our Wilson Presidential Memorial Exhibit [4] on the ground floor at the Center. View films and memorabilia. And, coming in spring 2013, a revamped exhibit-turned Learning Center will feature interactive displays.
