Volunteer for WalkingTown DC and be a Cultural Tourism DC Ambassador welcoming participants to the guided tours taking place Monday, September 16 through Sunday, September 24. Volunteers serve as assistants to the tour guides who will lead more than 50 guided walking tours in neighborhoods throughout the District. WalkingTown DC is the best free public guided tour program in Washington, DC!

Shifts Available:

  • Lunchtime and evening shifts are available Monday, September 18 – Friday, September 22 for tours taking place 12 pm-1 pm and 5:30 pm-7:30 pm daily. 
  • Weekend shifts are available Saturday, September 16 and 23, and Sunday, September 17 and 24 for tours taking place at 9am-11am,10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm, 2pm-4pm, and 3pm-5pm.

Shift Locations: Various neighborhood locations throughout the District.

Orientation: All volunteers must sign up for one orientation along with their volunteer shift(s). Check back in August for orientation dates.
