Peruse arts and crafts, enjoy food and drinks from DC-based vendors, and dance to live music. Events include a mumbo-sauce showdown, dance competition, and a pet parade!

We may ask you to keep up, but this is the only time we'll ask you to rush when referring to WalkingTown DC, September 14—22, our annual celebration of Washington, DC. So far, we received more than 1,600 reservations for 79 tours. WalkingTown DC is our longest running program because it is a terrific way to learn about the District of Columbia. Professional tour guides and others who are passionate about the city, its art, culture, and history share their expertise for free. Reservations are required. Many tours have reached capacity and space will only become available if someone cancels her/his reservation. It is one of the best values in Washington. Quick—check the tour schedule and make your selection now!

Tenleytown Main Street

Tenleytown Main Street is a recognized DC Main Streets Program and is funded in part by the Department of Small and Local Business Development. Established in 2015, Tenleytown Main Street seeks to revitalize the Tenleytown business corridor by leveraging its history to attract new businesses, and make Tenleytown a more desirable place to work and play. On September 14, Tenleytown will join seven other neighborhoods for Art All Night from 7:00 pm to midnight. Public and private spaces along Wisconsin Avenue will transform into pop-up galleries and performance stages for an evening of art in all its forms.
