Dupont Festival

Founded in 2010, the Dupont Festival organizes and implements a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities in the greater Dupont Circle area throughout the year. These include Cinema in the Circle movie screenings, as well as Music in the Circle and Chess in the Circle.

Dupont Circle Citizens Association
Annual House Tour

The Dupont Circle Citizens Association will hold its 50th Annual House Tour on Sunday, October 15 from 12 PM to 5 PM. This year will feature the 16th Street historic district. Tourgoers can explore the 16th Street corridor's varied architectural buildings from rowhouses and apartment buildings, to Embassies, institutional buildings, and churches. You also may enjoy an afternoon tea at the Temple of the Scottish Rite from 2 PM - 4:30 PM. The Dupont Circle House Tour is a self-guided tour and proceeds from the Tour support charitable institutions.

IlluminAsia at Freer|Sackler

Join a festival of Asian art, food, and cultures on the National Mall to celebrate the reopening of the Freer|Sackler. Free and open to the public, the IlluminAsia festival transforms the museums' grounds with an Asian food market, cooking and art demonstrations, and performances by local and international artists. Visitors can experience the reimagined galleries and exhibitions, as well as performances, conversations, and other immersive activities.

IlluminAsia kicks off at 5 PM on Saturday, October 14, with the museums' reopening at 6 PM. The evening program will light up the night with video projections on the Freer Gallery facade, and a night market featuring Asian food stalls, hosted in partnership with community organizations.

Anthony and Cleopatra

Folger Theatre presents this epic Shakespeare production directed by Robert Richmond. Mark Antony is at the height of his powers, but unable to decide between his love affair with Cleopatra in Egypt and his duty to the Roman Empire. Filled with politics, romance and war, Antony and Cleopatra will be one of the most intense plays of the season. This production at Folger Theatre continues until November 19.
