More than 100 free walking and biking tours.

Every spring and fall, Cultural Tourism DC presents WalkingTown DC and BikingTown DC. These two signature events offer an invitation for residents and visitors to explore Washington’s vibrant neighborhoods by foot or bike. Participants follow local guides and community leaders as they share historical anecdotes, point out architectural gems and/ or discuss current issues in neighborhoods from Georgetown and Eastern Market to Columbia Heights and Anacostia.

With more than 100 walking and biking tours in all eight wards of the city, this year’s program provide hours of fun and adventure.

Want to get involved?

  • Volunteer to staff a tour
  • Become a Friend of Cultural Tourism DC
  • Or join hundreds of others as they walk and bike throughout the city on September 25 and 26.
