More than “76 Trombones:” Attempt to Set a World Record
Get your old trombone out of the attic and join hundreds of players as Arena stage attempts to set a world record for the largest all-trombone ensemble.
On June 1 at Washington Nationals stadium, Arena Stage hopes to gather more than 500 trombone players to perform a rousing rendition of “76 Trombones” from the popular musical The Music Man, now playing at Arena Stage through July 22. For information about participating, visit www.fameorg.org.
The stage production which opened this week at the Fichandler Stage at Arena Stage features some popular favorites including: ‘Trouble,” “Goodnight Ladies,” “Till There Was You,” and of course, “76 Trombones.” For information on The Music Man visit www.arenastage.org.
