Events in remembrance of Chuck Brown, the Godfather of Go-Go, have been announced.
The Howard Theatre hosts a public viewing on May 29 from 11 am – 10 pm at 620 T Street NW on the first floor of the theater.
A public memorial service occurs on May 31 from 12 – 3 pm at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center at 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW. The service will recognize the contributions Brown made to both DC and the nation’s musical and cultural heritage.
