Downtown DC BID Goes Mobile
The Downtown DC Bid launched a free mobile application that gives Washington DC residents and visitors access to local events, retailers, restaurants, hotels, popular cultural and entertainment destinations, and services all with the touch of a finger. Any person with a smartphone can access the app.
The app also uses location-based technology which tells users the events, shops, and services closest to their location. It even gives arrival times for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) busses and trains.
Users can access the app by typing www.downtowndc.org into their web browser, or by scanning the QR code provided.
