What is WalkingTown DC? In spring 2010, Cultural Tourism DC returns with its signature bi-annual event, WalkingTown DC. An established favorite, this celebration of Washington's authentic character and rich treasures invites Washington, DC residents and visitors to experience the real DC – past, present, and future - through two days of quality, free walking and biking tours and other experiences across all eight wards of the District of Columbia. Lead a biking or walking tour during WalkingTown DC: Tours are led by knowledgeable tour guides who range from long-time residents passionate about their neighborhoods, to docents who specialize in a particular subject matter, to licensed and professional tour guides. All tour guides volunteer their time for WalkingTown DC.
