Warren Brown is the founder and owner of CakeLove bakery. His organization includes seven retail storefronts in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Mr. Brown left a career practicing law to start his bakery in 2000. He is the former host of the tv show “Sugar Rush” on the Food Network. Outside of the bakery, he is a member of the board of Kid Power-DC, a local non-profit organization that conducts after school arts and civics programs for youth. He resides in Washington, DC with his wife and daughter.

Cultural Tourism DC asked some notable Washingtonians to share with us their favorite places or events that are special and unique to DC. 

Warren shares his top 5.

1. DC Pools. The recent transformation of neighborhood pools and aquatic centers in DC is amazing, a great undiscovered city resource My favorite is in Takoma Park.
2. National Gallery Art-East Wing. I love this museum, with all of its geometric shapes and clean lines.
3. Petworth Neighborhood - I love living in Petworth everyone is very friendly and I have excellent neighbors.
4. The weather. I know this might be up for discussion, but I think DC has the best weather.
5. Neighborhoods. DC is extremely diverse. I love the variety of different neighborhoods and cultures.
