Sample all the delicacies that Eastern Market has to offer. Love-leigh Beasley is co-owner of Twins Jazz Club, one of DC’s premier live jazz venues, and daughter of "Twins" Kelly Tesfaye and Jos. A Beasley. A “techie” by trade, her passion for marketing and music drew her back to the family business which centers around a music venue that’s been bringing both seasoned and emerging musicians to perform in Washington, DC  for nearly 25 years.

Before the summer ends, treat yourself to a tour of the beautiful grounds and exquisite landscapes that once belonged to three of DC’s most wealthy and influential families. Start at the Tudor Place Historic House and Gardens (1644 31st Street, NW) in Georgetown. Built by Martha Washington’s granddaughter, Martha Custis Peter, the Tudor Place Garden was built in 1816 and still contains much of its original Federal period design.

Zandra Chestnut is the co-founder of the Center for Green Urbanism (CGU), a green-business incubator that houses the Tubman-Mahan Gallery in the business district of Ward 7. Zandra is also a photographer who enjoys taking photos of litter and trash to demonstrate its impact on our community and the Anacostia River. Her work has recently been shown throughout the greater DC area in juried shows.
