Summer is now in full swing and DC is busting with activities. Visitors are flooding the Mall and residents are swarming to their favorite spots. Everyone from the first time visitor to the long-time local has their own Insiders Guide of things to do in DC.

Many visitors to Washington, DC spend their first day on the National Mall. They tour the Capitol, explore a Smithsonian museum or two, and walk to the Lincoln Memorial. After a day or so staying safely in the confines of the National Mall, they often crave another activity to explore.
