Kyle Rahn, Director of Development for Cultural Tourism DC has significant management experience obtained in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has achieved significant success by applying her corporate and entrepreneurial for-profit management and business ownership experience, techniques and financial principles to non-profit organizations. Most recent she was Director of US Development and Major Gifts for Mercy Ships International; she was responsible for the strategic plan and management of the national development efforts and major gifts acquisition and corporate engagement of the global charity. She and her team were responsible for raising $16 million dollars in two years for the organization before leaving to operate her own consulting business.
She has successfully operated several marketing, direct mail and sales companies, and consulted to various companies since 1993. Before returning to operation of her own business, Ms. Rahn was actively involved in the ownership and management of her family owned Investment Banking firm, which her grandfather started in 1933. Upon the sale of the firm, Ms. Rahn entered the for- profit sector as an entrepreneur and business owner/consultant.
She is a member of The Rotary Club of Washington, DC and serves on several committees, appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bethesda Health Care Clinic, Tyler, Texas and serves on the Development sub-committee, as well as a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Daughters of the American Revolution. She is a graduate of Transylvania, University with a B.A. Business Administration.
